Montana Winters…

As a Window Cleaner

Winter has arrived in the Flathead Valley. In the past month, we have had multiple snow storms and several days spent hovering around 0 degrees. These conditions make life interesting for a window cleaner. During those bitter cold days when exterior work is required, I have found that using anti-freeze or windshield wiper fluid is the magic ticket to continue my window cleaning process. Oh and don’t forget warm water proof gloves! It is possible. I was able to finish my largest project of the year during a week where temperatures never rose above freezing. It was brutal at times, but an accomplishment I can look back on proudly. You never remember the easy ones right?

Cold weather also means that the phone does not ring as often. For a ski bum at heart like myself, this means an opportunity to enjoy the place I live and work in - Montana. We have two ski resorts less than 30 minutes away from where I live in Kalispell. Blacktail Mountain to the south is a nice family hill. To the North, Whitefish Mountain Resort is a world renowned ski resort, where I have a season pass for the winter. It is looking like a big snow year - long live La Niña!

While I am not washing windows in the sub-freezing temps or slashing pow on the slopes, I will be refining my business in preparation for the 2021 window cleaning season!
