The dog days of summer are here in Kalispell, Montana. Temps of 99, 100, 101 have been a challenge to work through.

Start work early, try to beat the heat, that has been my strategy. As a window cleaner, it amazes me how much the weather patterns affect my work. For instance, if a set of windows is East facing, I try to do those windows in the afternoon so that the sun is off them. Planning each day, and each job around the weather patterns has been a skill that I have worked to improve this summer. There is nothing worse that sitting directly under the beating sun and trying to squeegee a window perfectly clean.

One of the most enjoyable parts of summer here in the Flathead Valley has been enjoying the lake. Flathead Lake is the ultimate cool down after a hot day of window cleaning work. One perk of this job is we often times find ourselves working on the lake, and many clients invite us to jump in off their dock when we have cleaned their windows. Clean windows and a refreshing jump in the lake make for a rewarding day.
